Too bad the spanking wasn't shown. I thing the films she made as a teen were not nearly as popular as the dozens she made as a sweet little girl. I remember from a bio I saw of her life that the movie people were running out of story lines for Shirley so he mother suggested, "why don't you have her spanked?" They filmed it but it was cut out since the actress playing her mother just couldn't spank such a HUGE star. I have looked for the scene but it just is not available. left a great legacy and though she has departed from us, she remains very special in the hearts of America!
